The 2014 Stone Mill 50 Mile race will be held on Saturday,Nov 15th at 6:00am. Registration will open on August 1st

The Stone Mill 50 Mile is a 50 mile trail run on the Seneca Greenway and Muddy Branch trails in Montgomery County Md. The course traverses forested,rolling terrain. The course is primarily on single track dirt. There are small stream crossings. Most of the course drains well,but parts can be muddy in wet weather.

Parking at Watkins Mill HS (Start/Finish area)

The High School has an event in the afternoon Nov 16 and needs to use some 100 parking spaces this year same day as us (imagine that!). So we are asking everyone to help by carpooling or parking further down the road on Watkins Mill. There is also a shopping center 1.4M away (Montgomery Village Center) where you could meet up and combine vehicles. Thanks for considering carpooling.

When 6AM Start

The Stone Mill 50 Mile run will start at 6:00 AM on Saturday November 16,2012. The cut off time is officially 13 hours or 7:00 PM however if you make it to the Route 355 aid station before dark and continue to make good progress we will give you some extra time.

Packet Pickup
Beat the morning rush.  Get an extra half hour of sleep on race day.  We will have packet-pickup on Friday,November 15 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Fleet Feet in the Kentlands Shopping Center 255 Kentlands Blvd.,Gaithersburg,MD 20878. Please don’t call the store about race details. Contact Barry &Daryl directly with questions. The store told me to post this,don’t call them. Packets can be picked up by others,we just need a name of who stole your bib.

You can still pickup your packet on race day at the starting area if you can’t make it on Friday,but get there as early as possible (4:45-5AM).

Refunds and Bib Exchanges: It’s just not practical to process refunds or bib exchanges. If you decide to withdraw from the race please email Barry &Daryl and your $35.00 entry fee will be donated to the State and County parks instead of buying more stuff for the aid stations.

Pacers: Sorry,no pacers.  Our permits with the various park services have a strict limit on the number of runners so we can’t allow  pacers.
