If you missed registering,please consider volunteering. It’s almost as much fun as running but without the mud and sore muscles!
The 2013 Stone Mill 50 Mile Run will be held on Saturday November 16,2013.
The Stone Mill 50 Mile is a 50 mile trail run on the Seneca Greenway and Muddy Branch trails in Montgomery County Md. The course traverses forested,rolling terrain. The course is primarily on single track dirt. There are small stream crossings. Most of the course drains well,but parts can be muddy in wet weather.
Registration
The entry fee is $35.00 most of which will go to the state and county park service and to stock the aid stations,rent port-o-pots,etc. This is a low key event. Your $35 provides plenty of well stocked aid stations but there are no belt buckles,medals,etc..
Would you like to purchase an event shirt? If so,you’ll have an opportunity when you register. The shirt is a Patagonia long-sleeved zip-neck but note we do not know what color will be supplied at this time.
When 6AM Start for ALL!
The Stone Mill 50 Mile run will start at 6:00 AM on Saturday November 17,2012. The cut off time is officially 13 hours or 7:00 PM however if you make it to the Route 355 aid station before dark and continue to make good progress we will give you some extra time.

This year we will again have the start/finish at Watkins Mill High School 10301 Apple Ridge Road Gaithersburg,MD 20879
Packet Pickup
Beat the morning rush. Get an extra half hour of sleep on race day. We will have packet-pickup on Friday,November 16 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Fleet Feet in the Kentlands Shopping Center 255 Kentlands Blvd.,Gaithersburg,MD 20878. Please don’t call the store about race details. Contact Doug directly with questions. Packets can be picked up by others with photocopy of driver license and release/signature.
You can still pickup your packet on race day at the starting area if you can’t make it on Friday,but get there as early as possible (4:45-5AM).
Refunds and Bib Exchanges: It’s just not practical to process refunds or bib exchanges. If you decide to withdraw from the race please email Doug and your $35.00 entry fee will be donated to the State and County parks instead of buying more stuff for the aid stations.
Pacers: Sorry,no pacers. Our permits with the various park services have a strict limit on the number of runners so we can’t allow pacers.
